I've had a few wines from Grosjean Freres and they've all been great, so of course Id be all over this ...what? Italian gamay? Yessss. Bright, tart cherry, a little barn funk. interesting wine. I dig it. — 8 years ago
Wow this is superb. Neb without the biting tannins. Blackberry and orange peel. Still get a touch of rose petal in nose. And sour cherry. — 9 years ago
Blend of 50% Malbec, 24% Merlot, 11% Syrah, 7% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Cabernet Franc and 3% Petit Verdot, deep Ruby color with aromas of ripe berry fruits floral and spicy herbs. On the palate flavors of blackberry and juicy plum fruit with spicy herb, cacao and toasty oak. Fine soft tannins, well balanced, good acidity, long finish, almost creamy, ending with fruit & oak. Nice value! — 3 months ago
Light fruit, acidic. Reminds me of a pinot. — 5 months ago

This Mexican red wine certainly feels earthy and fruity like other Valle de Guadalupe wines I have had. This wine, though comes from the Italian grape Nebbiolo, doesn’t really have the sharpness (full tannins) most Italian wines have and most often need a food pairing. This wine because it’s light, smooth and almost Zin-like without being overly sweet. — 4 years ago
Majority Cab Franc with Cab Sav and Carmenere. Luscious with tons of cherry 🍒 fruit and a nice expression of the terroir of the region. — 7 years ago
Smooth with a good body, I didn't expect at all to be a good wine. — 7 years ago
Bold and rich. Shouldn't have waited this long to drink it. — 8 years ago
Fruity, low tanins, smooth, hint of sweetness — 3 months ago
Let this decant for 45-60 minutes and definitely helped open it up. Nose has slight bouquet of dark berries along with cherry and hints of leather. A very light jam flavor in mid palate and subtle tannins that make this wine something you can merely sip away or combine with a meal. — 3 months ago
Great wine. Tried as a sample at H‑E‑B and loved it. Not too sweet. Has a Smokey semisweet flavor. Also reasonable price - around $12.00 — 6 months ago
Basically the perfect Uco Malbec, and reasonable. — 7 months ago
More dark fruit and juice than the Frappato. I love it. Tasty and fun, juicy with a little pepper / volcanic pop at the finish. — 2 years ago
