Such a complex wine, a crazy nose, so much depth. Looking forward to what it offers tomorrow — 10 years ago
Very nice last two of this vintage but many fond memories with this great blend — 10 years ago
Well priced for 12 yr, smooth, medium oak, not peaty, given as a wedding gift. Goes great with nuptials. — 11 years ago
Re-tasted and showing true NZ SB characters- bright and zippy — 11 years ago
Modern in style but quite enjoyable. Oak is noticeable but not intrusive. Lots of fruit still present with slight sweetness on the midpalate and lively tannins on a bone dry finish. Decanted for two hours as tannins are still fairly aggressive otherwise. It is advisable. — 11 years ago

Deep baked dark fruit on the nose. Bloody and jammy in the mouth with lots of garrigue and afternotes of charred meat. A bit of green olive. — 10 years ago
Nice round taste but quite a heavy wine. — 11 years ago
Incredibly smooth. Much more peety than smoky, but could still taste the oak. Pleasant. $NA / 91pts Youngs Market — 12 years ago
