Bordeaux-style blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (55%), Merlot (35%) and Malbec (10%, which is quite noticeable). Dark ruby/purple color. Aromas of ripe dark fruit, mint, cedar and wet clay/stones. Wow. Waterfall of light red fruit into sublime acidity. Bouquet and mouthfeel both startlingly good. Longer than the drive from Avize. Cathiard probably the only comparable I have experienced. A privilege. — 3 years ago

Tasting bottle opened the day before. 2022 better for Cathiard than most critics were on the 22 Napa vintage young.

It is not as good as their 2021 and will drink better young than the 22. Also, does not have the tannins teeth of their 21.

Tasted the vine fruit outside Brasswood and here. Fruit is much better than Brasswood. Also, judging both skins & the seeds, Cathiard is tastier & will be picked sooner.
