Tasted Fall 2020, delicious with chanterelle pot roast and got me excited about wine again — 8 months ago
Lovely smell and full mouthfeel. A real kick from the tannins to end it off (a tad too much without food). — 2 years ago

This bottle brought me tremendous joy. My last bottle a few months back was over the hill and it really bothered me because I felt this could easily go 10+ years when I tasted it on release. This is a perfect example of there are no great wines just great bottles. Lovely scents of apple, lime and vanilla. A wonderfully integrated palate with a finish that makes you think premier cru. — 7 months ago

Great food wine! Perfect for summer. — 10 years ago
Juicy deliciousness. Loads of complex, mineral notes, it seems different every time I breathe in the aromas. Sandalwood, cherries, and flint. Cassis, rhubarb and wet granite on the palate, long finish, great now but will age if one can resist temptation. Vive la France! — 11 years ago
Still showing a lot of tannic and acidic structure, but enough fruit to keep it in check once it had a few hours of air, youthful still, and brawny. — a year ago
Another golden oldie — 5 years ago

One of the wines I had in 2008 that made me fall in love with wine was a Côte du Rhone by JL Chave "Mon Coeur". It's been a long time since I had a Rhone wine, I got this from Kermit Lynch shop in Berkeley, Cali. Nice notes of pepper and spice, gamy, good tannins from Syrah. Another good find from Kermit... Try this with steak that has fat, you will love this wine! — 9 years ago

Perhaps something is off with my palate today, but tasting one of the world‘s great rieslings was a massive disappointment. Can’t get past the extraction and the insanely high alcohol that dwarfs the moderate acidity and faint minerality. Highly extracted phenolics. Least disappointing of the lineup, but worst once you factor in price — 7 months ago
