Drank 12/5/18. Paired with lamb burgers.
This was a great value, originally priced around $17, currently on special for December with an additional 20% off at total wine for around 11$.
Nose of plumbs, cherries, leather, and black pepper.
Flavors of red and black cherry, soil, and tar backed by medium tannins. Dry, medium to long finish. An impressive wine for a lesser chateau in a mediocre year.

Excellent!!! Nez sur un grillé très fin, du fruit. Très belle complexité que l'on retrouve en bouche. — 8 years ago

Suggested by the buyer at Costco. Good price point, good taste. A bit better after breathing. I'd definitely have it again. — 9 years ago

Decant for at least an hour, very good. Full bodied and tannic. Nice old world funk. — 7 years ago
This was dynamite for the price. Needed some time to open up but after about 2 hours in a decanter, it sang. Rich texture reminiscent of some of Von Niepperg's higher end estates. What I loved most was the absolute seamless and perfect integration of oak on this bottle. Rarely have I been as pleased with the oaking regiment of a wine as I was with this wine. Perfectly sweet oak and vanilla coming through without being too prevalent. A beauty of a bottle for $25. — 8 years ago
2d time was much better — 8 years ago

Balanced, fruity, great with a juicy filet — 6 years ago
A Costco home run, I think this was like 10 bucks. What a great value, this drinks like something much more than that. I'm drinking the 11 and based on the reviews there is clearly some variation between vintages. Mine drinks like a dry old world cab and merlot blend. Nice structure and finish will some oak and not much fruit. Very good. Decanted for 6 hours and it really sings. Will buy more, a lot more. — 7 years ago
Just got better as the night wore on. 2006. — 8 years ago

Well still alive and kicking with secondary forest and leaves coming into what is left of black fruit notes. It was under ten bucks back then. Value! — 5 years ago
