Belo vinho, frutado, média estrutura, média persistência. Equilibrado. Vai muito bem com comida japonesa e frutos do mar! — 8 years ago
This beauty accompanied a meal at Mar de Ardura (may see a Michelin Star soon?). A Galician Ribeira - grassy, astringent, and great with seafood. — 8 years ago

Don’t know how much longer this wine has: 2006 showing its age with nose of secondary notes of saddle leather, Earth, soil, forest floor, barnyard and spices. Nice mouthfeel but the tannins were a little tired, brick on edges of glass with truncated finish. Big glycerin quality - hi alcohol. Great to see wines from this DO become more popular — 7 years ago
Very nice crisp Albariño — 8 years ago
Birthday dinner for a '77 and '90 tonight. Celebrated at Addison and indulged in the chef's choice menu. I'm not sure how many courses we had--12, 13, 14??--but it was the single most foundation shaking culinary experience I've ever experienced. If you are ever in Del Mar do yourself a favor and dive in mouth and feet first! The Martha's was full of sumptuous fruit, dusty tannins and fun funk. None of the tell tale eucalyptus or menthol but a very fun treat. — 8 years ago
More complex than the initial Portuguese wine we tried. Quite heavy but really interesting. Tasted great. — 8 years ago

Dense and dark red 👁️
Cherry, pear and some petrol 👃
High acidity.
Lemon tartness at first with some dark red fruit with hints of cloves and nutmeg. After a bit the soft and pleasent wood dryness arrives.
Medium body and a Light dry 🎯
Paired well with tomato pie, Arabic salad with tahini and a variety of latkes.
A pleasant one with good vfm (65 nis as part of a half case of Portuguese variety)
That strong tartness would make it a very gastronomic wine. Would work with everything.
Last try of the different Portuguese varaiety. All were more then decent and dead cheap. — 7 years ago

Light, crisp, and easy drinking. Small amount of bubbles with lemon and green apples on the nose. Prominent green apple taste. — 7 years ago
The 2015 Syrah Charles Heintz Vineyard is an outrageously beautiful, vivid wine. A rush of blue and purplish fruit, lavender, licorice and dark spice make a strong opening statement. Today, the tannins are a bit overpowering, but time in bottle will do the trick. The 2015 was fermented in concrete, with 10% whole clusters, and aged in a combination of concrete and oak. Readers who can find the wine should not hesitate. Heintz is one of the top vineyards in California. Getting a glimpse of the site through the lens of Syrah it makes for a deeply fascinating experience. (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, Mar 2017) — 8 years ago
