An off vintage win from Pousse d’Or, black fruits, cinnamon, hints of smoke and green tobacco. Elegant finish with very solid length. — 6 years ago
Started highly perfumed and floral in the glass but rapidly lost the bouquet. But in the mouth, mmmm. Juicy, acid, tense, round, bit of salt. Really came together well. — 7 years ago

Sweet, smooth ripe fruits, would prefer to a cab. — 9 years ago
This is finally old enough to have unwound and now it shows its true volume and depth. Drinkable now for scads of beautifully ripe fruit, but nowhere near maturity. — 9 years ago
2010 with such fresh crisp fruit. Meyer lemon and powdery minerality. Want to put away a few bottles, see the evolution. — 11 years ago
Loooove-a funky round gavi — 12 years ago
Straw color, classic champagne notes in nose, brioche yeasty, good acidity to balance some richness, dry — 10 months ago
I liked it but too sweet for Warren — 6 years ago
— 7 years ago
Popped and poured. This is a hedonistic Barbaresco that's not shy about the fact it's brought more than a decent amount of fruit to the party. Quite a bit different than the Ferrando Carema we also opened tonight. That being said, it's very satisfying with plenty of character to back up the fruit. This is one of those wines that nerds and casual wine drinkers can both get into. Drink now though 2028. — 8 years ago
From even north of Lessona. Cherry, raspberry, blackberry and fresh plum. White pepper, red liquorice, Dried fennel, almond paste and orange rind. Fine, gentle emery board like tannins with perky acidity. Really approachable now. 65% neb, 20% croatina and 15% vespolina. — 9 years ago
On our honeymoon. Lovely wine. — 11 years ago

Big, masculine Barolo. Drinking well but more nuance will come with age. Literally garage wine. From vines in Bussia to the garage in Monforte. — 3 years ago
Pears, brioche, just wonderful. — 4 years ago
Tannic, trantric, divine, like a rustic bread smothered in jam — 6 years ago
Petillant, tart, juicy, unexpectedly rich for a natural. — 7 years ago
Solid Nebbiolo — 8 years ago
