I could drink this one again...yummy! — 9 years ago
This amazing 2009 Morgan from Gary's Vineyard is one of the absolute best California pinots I have ever had the pleasure of tasting. I managed to get 3 bottles over a 2 year period. The more it breathed, the more it dominated the room! — 9 years ago

so, this was rated on a curve. stored in a fridge in another city. fridge died in summer and it was weeks before i found it. it was baked. and then it was weirdly ok. just used it to explain to @captain henrik how get wine out of a bottle with a coravin (merry xmas, cap'n!) expecting it to be destroyed. lo and behold. second wine from that lot which wasn't ruined. the OTHER, miraculously, was the bernaudeau "sans souffre" which I'll never understand why it was ok. maybe there are wine elves sticking ice in the dead fridge until I found it.... god jul!! — 9 years ago
A perfect choice to share the table with the Easter lamb. Was in the decanter for about 2.5 hours & it's showing beautiful vibrancy to match the powerful dark fruit. Thank you @Morgan Twain-Peterson & @Chris Cottrell for making such great wine. Happy Easter everyone! — 10 years ago

Candied fruit, reminiscent of gamay. Generous fruit, fantastic finesse. Great find from the Lodi AVA, showcasing the best of two varieties. — 12 years ago
Morgan was right..."F ING delicious !" — 12 years ago
This is really as great a Californian wine as one can muster. It is rich without being decadent, redolent with sweet fruit without being heavy or glazed as so many wines are, complex without being overextracted, and sun-kissed without being alcoholic or pruney. With 20 varietals in this field blend, and in the flatlands below Monte Rosso and Moon Mountain, maybe calling this terroir-driven is a stretch. It is more history-driven, and a testament to the duo who have put the effort into preserving it: @Chris Cottrell and @Morgan Twain-Peterson — 9 years ago

On the bitter end of the IPA spectrum — 11 years ago
The 8/24/2014 Napa earthquake did what it could to ruin the label but I can still read 14% alc. on the label.
A beautiful clean (read; no jam) expression of Syrah. Just enough funk on the nose to be both varietal correct and interesting and great balance on the palate.
Count in the (ridiculous low) price and you have one helluva solid QPR.
Kudos to Morgan and Chris!! — 11 years ago

Blueberry, raspberry, and some other berry jam with slight hints of sage. Long finish with moderate acidity. — 13 years ago
Doctor No
Blueberry jam and lavender flowers for ages with a top note of cedar. Mouthwatering acidity and subtle tannins that pick up heft and dryness with time. The first 30min is golden and beautiful, then it starts toughening up. @Morgan Twain-Peterson has done another great job. This is still my favorite of the Bedrock Heritage blends - maybe the coolest Zinfandel site they work with? and a north facing slope — 8 years ago
