Yup. Cappellano. See comments on 2011. — 10 years ago
Medium body, soft tannins, lots of fruit. Ungrafted vines sets this apart from other Barolos — 7 years ago

My WOTN! A "complete" Barolo, kinda out of a school book, that had it all: noble tannins, freshness and a first evolution into maturity. Huge layers of red berries, dried flowers, pipe tobacco, cedar and a bit of menthol. A touch fresher and more intense in the aromatics and tannins than the 1999 Rupestris. — 7 years ago
Not technically Barolo Chinato, since its made from grapes from just outside the zone, but it might as well be. It may not carry the complexity of Cappellano, but then again, it's a tenth the price. More please! — 9 years ago

This wine was utter perfection! Black and White pepper, stewed Bing cherries, White truffle, super reduced balsamic, day old roasted chanterelles, tannins are fully integrated, but acid is still lively — 7 years ago
