Probably the best rose which I ever tried. — 9 years ago
Hard to beat this white for the price. Has notes of what I enjoy in Sauvignon Blanc: grass, citrus, freshness. What separates this wine is its roundness and balance of acidity and crispness. — 9 years ago
Zeno Zignoli is all one whole thing with Monte dei Ragni. 2.5 hectares of vineyard at Marega (Fumane) a wine-area for Valpolicella, Ripasso, Recioto and Amarone that Zeno produces to high levels of quality and natural withering to the right and tradional way. Soft crushing and pressing, a skilful use of the woods and the almost complete exclusion of mechanical pumping systems.
Very low yields in the vineyard with typical pergola accommodation bounded by stone walls, the characteristic so-called: "marogne". Manual work, no "chemical contribution" at all, from fertilizer to pesticides. Only healthy and dedicated wine grapes, not more than 6000 bottles produced. The difficult year 2014 as such, Monte dei Ragni will not come out with Amarone. This Inamphora white (orange) IGT is produced from 96% Garganega grapes and Malvasia Istriana 4% macerated on the skins, not filtered, fermentation and aging is made in amphorae for at least 6 months.
Respect for the land to the balanced use of natural resources and agriculture, the quality of healthy, wholesome life all this and more is the subject embodied by Zeno Zignoli's vision and the genuine wines he makes at his Monte dei Ragni winery.

Well balanced sexy Petite Sirah. Lovely to drink with a very feminine quality that makes it a real stand out. — 10 years ago
Very balanced wine, a bit on the fruity side... — 12 years ago
14% alcohol, really? Yes, but it only hits you subtly on the back palate. Burnt nose, hints of mineral. Peach or lychee fruit on the front palate? Dry wine, heavy body, a wine with a character. — 7 years ago
Juicy and a bit hot out of a larger glass. Deeply tannic, bordering on chewy. #knowthyself — 8 years ago
Was a little reticent aromatically, then it opened up and what was there was amazing and elegant and complex. Like spiced plums and lavender, with some red cherry too. A huge step up from the pian Del campolo, but a price fraction of la pergola. Definitely want to try again! Great bottle, @Max Kogod — 9 years ago
