The type of wine I love drinking...especially with my wife. So many amazing memories attached to the flavours. 2016 Supertuscans are just amazing π β 5 months ago
Still drinking, wonderfully after 12 years. A fine example of this variety from Italy. β 2 years ago

A real treat to see a 34 year old Italian beauty. Dried herb and fruit. Earthy, dark dried fruits. Soft soft tannin with rounded acid. Lost its vibrancy and that bang that sucks you in. Admirable it has held up and a beautiful experience. 89 points. β 11 years ago
When you see DRC on the label itβs difficult not to have preconceptions. The nose pops with red cherries ,stems and spice. The palate is hit with weighty red and black fruit which carries a healthy dose of acid. Surprisingly lacked the complexity and finish I was hoping for from a vintage like this let alone the producer. β 3 months ago
Ruby in color with aromas of ripe cherry, raspberry, vanilla, and earthy hints. Decanting softens the smoky notes, revealing bright red fruit and a touch of licorice. The palate is dry and well-balanced, with smooth tannins, refreshing acidity, and a long, fruity finish. A versatile, well-structured wine that pairs easily with food.

A nice dry chianti red wine good with steaks or pasta. β 8 years ago
Light body and very "Pinot Noir" like. Bright red cherry and strawberry flavors. Mild tannins and light oak. Hint of smoke. Refreshing. Chill it a bit below cellar temp. Great story about the winery. A Mt. Etna lava flow just went around them 30 years ago. β 9 years ago
Very nice, full flavored wine with a smooth finish. Smoky, spices and delicious!! β 10 years ago
Almost as good as the chianti in Paris β 12 years ago

Incredible brunello. Epitome of a young brunello. Violet ruby color with dark cherries and plums with touches of spice, aromas of forest floor and Great integrated tannins. Complex and it evolves beautifully in the glass. Definitely a drink now wine or ageworthy. The essence of sangiovese. Definitely one to try again and again. β 3 months ago
