100% Negroamaro. Would never have guessed it was from Puglia - but it's a great table wine. — 12 years ago
Ferrarias in Grapevine. Ash had the quarto formaggio steak and I had the lamb. Crab claws with garlic butter sauce was phenomenal. — 13 years ago
This white Sicilian cuvée wowed me. It's fresh, fruity but dry, and as I'm enjoying it as aperitivo at an Italian-only place called Quarto, on a terrace in the otherwise ugly town of Siracusa, I'm thinking of it as a nice companion of seasonal asparagus and, of course, the freshest local fish. — 11 years ago
Blind, I would have said this was a modern BDX. A touch brambly and dark with lifting acidity. What a surprise. A true delight with a porcini dusted porterhouse. Yum! — 11 years ago

Cantine Torre Quarto 2012 Tavoliere, made of the grape Troia. Didn't know what to expect and was surprised by a rich bouquet with cedar, smooth velvety taste. Damned nice bottle. — 10 years ago
