Enjoying watching/drinking this fine thing as it opens/morphs its magic with steak tartare and heirloom radishes @ Sonoma's The Girl & The Fig. Black to red fruit on first blush coating front center and back silk clothes clinging to cool skin slow dancing its way home... Salute — 10 years ago

Very complete, lingering and getting better post decanting, opening, etc. it's working with my crazy good/interesting cheese&charcuterie served up by Chef Gus at Lee&Lauren's SoundSide Restaurant, in Morehead City, NC. Salute! — 11 years ago
Deliciously silky St. Emilion Grand Cru @ Aubriana's, in Wilmington, NC, complimenting very tender lamb chops served by Katie - right on! Salute... — 12 years ago
It is a great alternative for Amarone! Nose; Stewed and dried raisin. On plate; Dark juicy fruits.. Plum, dark cherry and Ripened blackberry. This beauty has full body and a long finish. It has some tannin and high alcohol but compliments very well with the dark juicy fruits on the pallet.. Salute! — 9 years ago
Really like this gamay showing earth dirty front to back, dirt to silk maybe dragged leisurely through an earthy shroom-tinged path to it's place in the sun... ✌🏻️💙& salute!

Old Calabria is number one on my personal travel books top list, wrote by that British genius who was Norman Douglas. Now this is the optimum wine to pair with such a reading: rarity, daring, intensity... only to mention few of the features we'got stated in here. Name of the wine's: 'A Vita - La Vite, The Vine in Calabrian dialect in harmony with The Life/La Vita as well - it focuses from the start the insane complexity and discloses the fleeing of the whole subject in itself! Salute e lunga Vita, thou good Old Cirò! — 10 years ago
Firstly, we are drinking this wine @ Brett Jennings' amazing Chapel Hill eatery, Elaine's. Love this place, in a world class way. Now, on to the wine - dancing, dazzling half enchanted🍷😎 we are drinking the 04, so it has some time in the bottle (good time)! It's blueberry/raspberry touched and toned, by the barrel, calmly releasing its magic, as one goes., which is slow and elegant for a badass Bordeaux. It lacks the depth of what happened in France in 2000, but it certainly holds traits of the same. Get some, let it open and dive into the mix, then contribute to this conversation...✌🏻️💙🍷&👣 salute! Thx be to Brett, Damon& Happy Birthday to Lisa!!! Eat @ Elaine's, even if that means traveling from ... — 10 years ago
Nose of ocean and bacon. Seductive 14.5% alcohol. Great with mushroom, tomato, garlic, spinach, pasta with grilled salmon. Un piatto delizioso. Salute. — 10 years ago
What joy to drink this wine. A superb effort from Chris Upchurch. To all WA winemakers take note, we should aspire as growers and winemakers to get here. It would raise recognition for all. It is a priveledge to proved sauv blanc from 40+ yr old vines from Bacchus vineyard. I salute you Chris. — 11 years ago

Brick red. The nose gives a loud, primal scream if hazelnut, cassis, black olive and sweat. The palate is pretty straight forward with flavors of cassis, plum, hazelnut and just a drip of soy sauce. Medium to full bodied, finishes with an earthy quality, and has a long lasting, salute stripping tannin. — 9 years ago
