2009 is a ripe, juicy vintage and here (6 years later) it is all coming together. Leather, wet tobacco, later on, violets. — 8 years ago

Soft tannins, smooth oak with plum and raisins. Delicious. — 10 years ago
Massively complex nose of concentrated fruit and spices. Follows with more complexity in mouth, beautifully developed tannins. Big, powerful, but in perfect balance. — 10 years ago
Dry, slight fruit. 100 miles northeast of Naples — 11 years ago

Excellent white for Ciclismo night 1 — 9 years ago
Talk about peaks and valleys. Upon opening showed a little over the hill. But 15 minutes in, it showed an awesome Xmas cake character and great depth- singing! Then it entered back into its shell. — 9 years ago

Great meeting Domenico and Nicola Ocone. This aglianico was full of black cherry and easy drinking well made wine — 11 years ago
Had at Lo Sfizio in Capri. Fruity and dry. Good, but not as good as the wine at Da Tonino's. — 11 years ago
Great taste of honey melon. A wine with a sour fruit nose. Not on the mineral side. — 8 years ago
Gravel and lemon rind on the nose. Honey, green apple, green pear, mineral, lemon, and grapefruit on the palate. Slight citrus rind/seed astringency. A good bit of alcohol for a white. There's something kind of herbal/vegetal to it, but I can't put my finger on it. Good, medium-long finish. — 8 years ago
Very dry yet fruit forward and bright. Perfect pair with pork or chicken. — 8 years ago
Of all of the rosé wines I've tried this year, Fattoria la Rivolta's "Le Mongolfiere" rosato exhibits terroir like non other, like a stately mantle, an ancient and earthy vestige that is a testament to old vines planted in calcareous, limestone-rich soils—what fruit it displays, tart cherries, and clementine are nuanced and entirely secondary. On the palate, intensity gives way to chalky texture, and clenched acidic verve that slowly dissolves to a saline-tinged finish. — 9 years ago
A light woody scent with a hint of smoke and some jamminess with a soft dry finish — 9 years ago
Nice complexity for an easy drinking rose — 10 years ago
