Proof that can is not just for Napa. — 10 years ago
Dark colored with a jammy aroma. Lots of ripe berry tones with a slight herbaceous and astringent undertone. Medium tannins that offer some bite, but don't overwhelm with a stick to your teeth finish. Paired nicely with with a nice dry-aged ribeye, but could easily benefit from some further cellar time. Very enjoyable although I'm a bigger fan of their Reserve Syrah. — 10 years ago

Amazing interpretation of this Glera grape sparkling. By name and substance it's not a Prosecco, from calcareous soils on the Carso hills over Trieste. Dry, fresh, extremely long. Awesome wine! — 11 years ago

Easily in the top 5 Pinot Noir wines I have ever had. Incredibly smooth on the initial palette. The flavor gently comes together as you swallow and then the intensity of the fruit comes through. It is a very unique Pinot with a bit more fruity flavor than most, but Calcareous has infused the typical smooth earthy tone throughout the experience. P.S. This wine definitely fits the profile for the Paso Robles region and Calcareous' rock terroir. — 10 years ago
Blackberry jammy, great black fruit flavor, pairs well with Irish cheddar — 10 years ago
93% syrah 7% Viognier. What an incredible bottle of wine. Last I had it was in barrel. Beautiful silky structure with influences of calcareous soils and limestone. Beautiful aromatics. Viognier is prevalent on nose with Monterey fruit. High elevation and above the fog line — 10 years ago
With college friends 4/18/14. Full bodied for a Pinot Noir. Delicious. — 11 years ago
2009 Calcareous soils in Mezzane, 30 days drying, balsamic, very good. — 11 years ago
Full rich blackberry, currant with subtle vanilla and spice on the nose. Layers of deep silky plum mid palette. Dry tart finish. The more air the more it opens. — 8 years ago
Varietal: Sauvignon
Vineyard age: 25 years in average
Terroir: Calcareous clay soil, known as "terres blanches"
Tasting notes: Delicious as an aperitif! The white Sancerre goes beautifully with seafood and shellfish. (the best match is with the local goat cheese) — 9 years ago
Excellent with hints of coffee bean/earthy flavor — 9 years ago
Wow. Just wow. Great Paso Syrah.....
This merits a few bottles bought when I visit next. — 9 years ago
Structured style, generous in it's dense fruit expression. The Busardières vineyard (soil of calcareous clay on top of tuffeau) is located high up in the hills of the Bourgueil appelation, protected from cold northern wind by a huge forest on top of the hill. Grapes get ripe here a bit easier. Charming expression of Cabernet Franc. — 10 years ago
