Medium bodied, rich and juicy for a Valtellina. Savory & mineral, dried roses, cherries, prune, tobacco, some oak, anise. From Flatiron Wines. — 6 years ago

I drank this after using an aerator. Immediately scent of braised beef and fresh rubber on the nose. Meaty flavor on the way down. Truly is best wine under $5 at TJ's — 8 years ago
Delicious, chilled, rooftop deck wine. — 9 years ago
Elegant, refined Bolgheri Bordeaux blend. Well balanced, lithe, with strong minerality. A sophisticated wine. — 10 years ago
Had at thanksgiving 2014 with Fam. Everyone but Lisette really liked it. $21 at Urban Grape (5R).
Dried cherry on the nose. Licorice, funkiness/ mushrooms, earthiness, with a finish of black cherries. Smooth and lovely old-world drinking — 11 years ago
My favorite sweet red wine. — 12 years ago
Love this wine! — 4 years ago
So pleasant. Cherry and red berry and all that jazz, but electric on its feet. The person who just knows everybody at a wedding and has rhythm and moves on the dance floor. Delightful — 4 years ago
Lovely wine. Smooth and refreshing for a red. Cherry forward, grassy/earthy on the end. Low tannins make it easy to drink. — 6 years ago
Committed to trying more old world wines this year and this is a tasty number to kick that off! Easy drinker, very subtle cherry, not fruity. Definite acid and citrus, light tannins, would go great with red sauce as well as heartier fish. Appealing ruby color. Opened up with some air-time/decanting for sure and would likewise benefit from some cellar time. But a very good vibe even at this young age. — 6 years ago

Very full bodied and rich yet only 12.5% — 11 years ago
Cheap and cheerful Italian red from Trader Joes. A blend that's primarily Sangiovese, it's pretty subtle and doesn't leave that powerful red tang on the finish. Slightly dry, certainly not complex, but quaffable. — 12 years ago
More dark fruit and juice than the Frappato. I love it. Tasty and fun, juicy with a little pepper / volcanic pop at the finish. — 4 years ago
Refreshing, medium body. Very drinkable. — 4 years ago

On 14/2/16 bistrot du pass con barbaglini — 9 years ago
Graceful cherry and raspberry fruit as it opens up. Medium bodied with a dash of woody tannins in finish. A little bit of black tea. Loamy and savory in nose but brighter fruit expression on palate. This like Reggie Bush, not producing a lot on the field but seductive off it. — 10 years ago
Great evening at The Wine Pub in San Diego — 11 years ago
Much better when using the airator. Clean. — 12 years ago

Popped and poured; consumed over two days. Best on day two. The 2019 “Ca’ del Buc” pours a slightly glass staining ruby; medium+ viscosity. On the nose, this is funky tart plums and cherries and something reminiscent of an alleyway on a warm day…but in a good way. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium tannin and medium+ acid. Tart dark and red fruits with minerals. Lip smacking finish. This is a rustic Barbera and a killer value with unmistakable Piedmontese sensibilities. I’m grabbing a case. — 3 years ago
