Southern Exposure Syrah

Tobacco, plum, raspberry, dirt, pepper, charcoal, black pepper. This is a superb wine. Maybe a little late, so drink em if you got em still. — 8 years ago

Wow! These folks know how to do wine. This is the way Amador County Zin is done. Great cherry bouquet, light to medium body, fruit forward, smooth mild tannin, medium finish. The winemaker is the inventor of Captain Crunch and Clif bars! A true food scientist! — 8 years ago

Wonderful blend ! This is one of my most favorite wineries. Everything they have is pleasing to the palette! I buy a bottle of this every time we are there. — 9 years ago

Southern Exposure Shenandoah Valley Zinfandel 2006

On the nose, black raspberry and sweet spice. On the tongue, smooth and velvety with blackberry notes, coupled with chocolate and red delicious apple skin (weird, but try it and you'll agree with me). — 10 years ago

The Gallery Collection Taksim Red Blend 2009

Apparently 2009 is the first vintage of this original blend of Touriga Nacional (34%), Syrah (33%) and Primitivo. Dark red with purplish hue. Powerful nose, slightly Port-like, reminescent of black fruits, dried herbs, coffee and the violets I associate with Touriga Nacional. Intense taste of sweet dark berries and spices, with firm, but well-tamed tannin and refreshing acidity keeping it in balance. Good length too. Absolutely interesting blend that should age gracefully for many years to come. 2009 vintage. Abv 14,3%. 31 euro. — 8 years ago
