En magnum. Out of the gate this seems like 10 years too young. This is packing a punch that still impressed everyone at the table (luckily I opened the bottle the day before 😳) but nonetheless would not give it up completely. Finish is amazing! Minutes long of electricity and black berries. Nose wants to fight with a Gonon for champion but today I must say it is subdued. HOLD! cannot say it enough that I didn't know what I was doing. Hold on to this bottle. It has a long way to go with A LOT to say. — 8 years ago
2011 très timide en bouche. Apogée depassée ? — 8 years ago
Starts tight but with intense rocky and burnt herbal/pepper aromas. Opens up to beautiful freshly oozing raspberry flavors. An iron minerality. Spiced plum. Really dope. Blueberry, very sharp finish, so much precision. A spirit lifter — 8 years ago

Pear. Medium to full in body. Much better about an hour in. Seems more expressive. Though it was cold out of fridge. — 9 years ago
— 10 years ago
Dark raspberry, game, and rawhide on the nose. Almost Bretty—I could mistake this for a premium Southern Rhône—but classic northern Saint-Julien in the mouth. Opulent and delicious. Round and balanced in the mouth, this is drinking very well, with a finish that lasts for days. If I had to complain, could use more acid (definitely a hot vintage). — 11 years ago
Mniam;) very good french dry red wine. — 13 years ago

Rich with lots of tropical fruit — 7 years ago
— 8 years ago

Great stuff. Definitely needs air. Like chili, it's even better on day 2 — 10 years ago

Ellers god — 7 years ago
— 7 years ago
Amarillo con destellos dorados. En nariz fresco. Mineral. Barrica. Manzana verde fresca. En paladar medio. Acidez media / baja. Ok — 8 years ago
@Delectable Wine this is Julien Barge Saint Joseph "Les Coteaux de Legende" it's not in the database. Thanks.
Soaring nose. So 2015. A hint of Brett is so appealing here amongst all the blackberry and raspberry deep fruit. Intoxicatingly aromatic. Palate is as 15 as it gets. Intensely complex, juicy, ripe and so deep with out of this world freshness. Thrilling. Hints of game and smoke with an intense granite finish. Awesome wine and shows the greatness of 15 at the value price point. Awesome wine. — 8 years ago
One of my favorite Rhone producers. Dark fruit, spice, meat. Very Northern Rhone, like a St. Joseph. Well balanced and excellent pair with pan seared skirt steak. — 8 years ago
