Though it didn't have the usual buttery oakiness I've come to expect from Mer Soleil Chardonnay, I was thrilled to taste such rich fruitiness. Silver comes bottled in a "cement" bottle to remind us that it was aged in small concrete tanks from France. This allows, like oak, a trace of oxygen to seep in which helps to enhance the flavor. Very bright fresh fruit characters. It was opened at our home in Bensalem during a romantic Valentine's Day dinner with 2 other couples. — 11 years ago

Tasted at an amazing restaurant in the wilderness near Hanazono in Hokkaido Japan. Not as buttery and oaky as many Californian Chardonnays I have had in the past. It was rich yet balanced and refreshing with cleansing acid. Great match with Sashimi. — 7 years ago
