One of the more memorable PF's I've ever had....just too busy to write too much these days. — 9 years ago
NV. Blanc de noirs from the Aube. Very clean and crisp, dominated by red fruits. Fresh tart cherry, blood orange sherbet, golden raspberry, white flowers. Seems really young and summery, all about the freshness. Love that they put the encépagement on the back label! Very welcome after a busy couple of weeks at work. Happy New Year! — 9 years ago
Perfect wine to end a busy week and pared perfect with a paprika butter skirt steak — 9 years ago
Red and dark berries, eucalyptus notes, suede. Fine busy present tannins. Could probably hang out another year or two. — 10 years ago

High pitched, intense red fruit, screaming acidity...killer — 12 years ago
On the nose, creamy lemons, lime, green apple, pear no skin, notes of honey, green melon and yellow lilies. It's a stunner at first entry. Fresh, delicate and beautiful. Ripe round fruits of; lemon, lime, green apple, pineapple flesh, green melon, pear, white peach, notes of honey, amazing richness, round, lush, thick, elegant and beautiful. All day. Photos of; the tasting room and blown glass chandelier, the staff busy doing packaging and us barrel tasting with their Director of Winemaking & Viticulture, Gilles Nicault. Really nice Riesling for $20. — 8 years ago
Delicious. Meaty. Dark fruit. I'm not going to describe this wine well because I'm too busy drinking it. — 9 years ago
Light, not too sweet, good for summer — 9 years ago
Right Bank Bordeaux blend done insanely well in Washington. Lush & rich, dark fruits & spice, savory finish. Smooth, round tannins. I could drink this all night - but it's a Magnum and I have a busy day tomorrow. 😁🍷 — 10 years ago
Raspberries and rhubarb, greens and olives. Great acidity, easy to pair with food. Great for the price. Tried this wine for the first time with my coworkers after a busy brunch, recommended by a bartender: would easily buy again. — 10 years ago
Appley fresh on the nose. Very citrusy and round. I love the busy-ness and complexity for a white wine. Refreshing! — 11 years ago

Yeasty with slight oxidation, yet clean and citrusy with a nice creamy body presence. — 9 years ago
Big without being overpowering. Complex without being busy. Would drink all the time. Now trying to remember where I picked it up... — 9 years ago
Super like this wine think it's the last one bummer — 9 years ago
Lovely way to cap off a busy week with my hunk of a husband. — 10 years ago
2007 vintage. Showing well right now, still with some "youthful" fruit character, while trading on some secondary notes and petrol. Tangerine, orange blossom, apricot, Fuji apple, lime zest, candied grapefruit, beeswax, white and yellow flowers. Pairs well with getting your ass kicked at work during a super busy playoff game night :) — 10 years ago
Very complex, busy and unusual hints of pine and tobacco .... Unique wine from a true artist / winemaker — 11 years ago

Dig these Koehler-Ruprecht trocken prädikatswein bottlings; they smell like they’re going to be sweet but then surprise the palate with their relative dryness. This Kallstadter kabinett trocken pours a medium (-) intensity straw-gold hue. Moderate concentration of aromatics of underripe stone fruit, shiso, wet stone minerality, a bit of petrol-y TDN character, a leesy aged cheese rind character, and a very slight honeyed spice that might signal a very small percentage of botrytized grapes might have gone into this wine (but I’m not 100% sure it is botrytis; it’s very faint if it is). On the palate, the wine is simultaneously soft and focused, with more slightly underripe stone fruit, wet stone minerality, slightly underripe mango, a savory, aged cheese rind leesiness, and some very subtle floral tones. Medium (+)/high acid, oily, softly textured light/medium (-) body, medium in-balance alcohol, and it’s dry-ish? Wouldn’t quite say off dry but definitely has a slight bit of balancing RS. Overall, pretty good stuff; haven’t yet been disappointed by Koehler-Ruprecht. — 8 years ago
