Still solid red, only slightly bricking towards the rim. Nose is elegant, cedar and blackcurrant with a touch of menthol. Palate is smooth, beautiful weight and still mostly primary fruit; blackcurrants and plums with a hint of spice. A lovely bottle of well aged Aussie Shiraz. Top stuff. — 9 years ago

An Australian wine that reminds me of how great Australian wines can be. Big and rich for sure, but with layers of complexity - blackberry, anise, oak, and tart cherry on the finish. — 10 years ago

Riesling's are usually too sweet for me, but I love this dry one by Pacific Rim! — 8 years ago
Liked this. Not to dry but is fruity. — 8 years ago
Bing cherries, subtle licorice and mocha, dried tobacco. Grubby but pleasant tannins. Great acidity. Which we could find this here. Great price for a reasonably complex wine! — 9 years ago
Had this with dinner last and forgot to snap a pic. I loved this cab, great year. As always wish the price was a little more friendly. — 10 years ago

Tasted blind, theme was either Napa Cult Wines or High End Australian, not told directly to keep us on our toes.
Deep to medium garnet red with brick edges. Dark attack on the nose with leather, bark, spices, a touch burnt and dates. As it aired out it gained some additional complexities with forest floor and more pepper. Solid acidity and well balanced with medium tannins (6/10). Quite a bit of red cherries on the palate with some earthy notes and a touch of cinnamon. A touch tart in the rear of the palate with some light tomato notes, mushrooms and gravel. Medium bodied with a long finish. Drink till 2019.
We thought this was most likely a Cabernet Sauvignon or Cabernet Sauvignon led blend with some Shiraz from Australia. Additionally it has to be between 15 and 20 years old (so between a 2002 and 1997). Not bad for the first wine. — 8 years ago
Dark cassis fruit, medium tannins that were pretty well integrated. — 9 years ago
So I've had a few vintages of this wine. Not been happy with them. But this 05, the first one made, is good. Bought on futures. At 11 years it's showing almost the right amount of age. I'd say drink in next 5 years. Well worth under 50 bucks. I think I paid 40. — 9 years ago
Honeysuckle, lime, lemon, seashells and slight flor-sherry like characteristics. Off dry, good line and length with a slightly saline feel to it. — 9 years ago
Unbelievably good! Would love to try this in a year or two.

Pretty nice pinot, on the thicker side, reminds me of zinfandel. Dried dark cherry and almonds. Cherries linger in the aftertaste. — 8 years ago
