I have a soft spot for this stuff. So subtle and restrained, yet packs a punch in terms of complexity and layers. Sweet oak on the nose. The palette shows fine-grained tannins, with a soft, round mouthfeel. Finishes with cedar and maraschino cherries - excellent.

I JUST Love cathys wine, this from a supposed "bad" vintage. Bud Cathy is THE winemaker who can handle those vintages when Mother Nature is not on your side.

Great Napa Cab that doesn't break the bank. Black cherry jumps out with other red fruit, very slight pepper, a little licorice, nice finish. I think this 2007 has matured nicely, worth the wait. — 11 years ago
