So good! Kind of orange wine. Center is orange color. Slight oak. A bit sweet, slight tannic and spices from grape skin. Balanced sweetness and sourness. First one of orange wine I feel good. Marmalade. Vigna rocca albana secco 21 @3400, Dmar JH, 231008-231021 — 7 months ago

17.5. Perfect balance, M+ length, good for a few more years. — 3 years ago
A solid proof why you should age your Bourgogne wines. A “simple” Village Lieu-dit (above La Tâch) is finding itself in a wonderful stage in life near 10 years past harvest. Just let it dust off its shoulder and catch your attention as it opens up with a toffee like red fruit character, dried roses, sous bois, truffle, spice and rocks before slowly walking out with a graceful posture. — 4 years ago
Worthy of its label. Complex, long, constantly changing. 5 more years would help. Decanted 1/2 hour, no sediment. 2006 vintage, opened July 2015. — 9 years ago

Absolutely gorgeous tonight, with red label stardom, continuing to get better and better in the decanter wafting waves of roses, black cherries, exotic spices and tea leaves. It has immense richness but also so fresh and detailed. There is incredible density yet without weight. An amazing combination of power and elegance. — 7 months ago
I reckon BH’s notes on this are pretty spot on for my experience (expect the part on the Noirots), so here it is:
“Once again, there is a subtle though not invisible application of wood that still easily allows the airy, cool and restrained aromas of various red berries, and in particular cherry, floral and a mildly exotic whiff of dried orange peel. The energetic and beautifully well-detailed middle weight flavors are much finer if less powerful than those of the Noirots while display notably more minerality as well on the compact, serious and built-to-age finale. This is a wine of finesse and refinement but the flavor authority is impressive as is the tannic spine.”
WOTN for most I believe. Showed well with air, but clearly some tightness at the start. Loved the energy here. Very promising! — 8 months ago
