We had this with dinner over a few hours, and man was it good. This has classic Sangiovese cherry flavors, but opened up to other berries and some lavender and earthy notes too. Tannins were nice and polished. This needs time to become more open and complex, but was still delicious--in fact, one of our new favorite brunelli! — 8 years ago
Delicious. Elegance and grace with more tertiary aromas showing spice and earth and bricks. Reminiscent of more feminine Brunelli. Drinking very nicely don't hold it in your cellar much longer. — 8 years ago
Normally not a fan of Amarone but this is 'da shit. Grapes from this wineyard in Cariano -- named after horse Titari -- are of high enough quality to make this blend (60% Corvina, 30% Rondinella, and rest Sangiovese) only some years. Production is only 3000 bottles and price is around 80 USD (750 SEK). Super rich and elegant; did not go well with a beef tenderloin meal as it was too powerful and interesting. — 8 years ago
one of my favourite brunelli over the years. lifted my face many times, which means: buy!
2010 is difficult as robert parkers team cursed this wine with 100 points. hence ultrarare and doubled price.
imagine typical sangiovese herbality, amazing fruit and incredible freshness paired with elegant iron fist.
too young, huge potential. — 9 years ago
just perfect. balanced both sea bass and sunday gravy- 2011 vintage — 9 years ago
Light body and flavor. Red berry. Acidity. Some tannin. Great for pizza! — 10 years ago
Deliciously awesome! — 7 years ago
First foray into my personal stash of 2010 Brunelli. Deep crimson with slight bricking, pleasant nose, soft fruit, not overly complex, a touch of tannin and acid on the back end. Enjoyable overall but wouldn't necessarily seek it out. — 7 years ago
Young and a bit closed, but dignified and serious nonetheless. 3/4 of a bottle per plant, this is a world class producer very committed to the health and upkeep of his small plots. A one man show from soil to bottle. Bold and big, with unripe and slightly sour black cherry mingling with gamey animal notes, and a kick of white pepper at the end. Very well balanced and integrated. — 8 years ago
one of my fav brunelli - tender and with well balaned fruit, some chocolate or cacao liqueur.
i repeat myself mentioning the awkward if not repulsive fluffy deposit...
and by all means: in some years the same wine is labeled as riserva - in some not..?!? — 8 years ago
2010.....this is NOT Gianni Brunelli Le Chiuse di Soto. This is Le Chiuse. — 9 years ago
This one is scrumptious, I've had the 2004.. I really cannot wait for the 2010 to be released which I've been told is by far the best from the La Fortuna line of Brunelli — 9 years ago

Among the best brunelli! Striking orange-red color that's almost light, with an impression of sweet ripe perfect strawberries and a subtle green earth--like grass drying in the sun. Silkiest of textures, most intense of aromas, rich but fresh. — 7 years ago
Acompañandolo con mi plato favorito spaghettis en sala pomarola excelente! — 7 years ago
Great wine, excellent to chocolate and licorice! — 8 years ago
So fun to drink this after the 2001 Marroneto. Strikingly similar actually, which is the way it should be and tells me that these are honest producers. Textbook Brunelli, both. This just has more power than the Marroneto. — 8 years ago

Un bicchiere importante. Oggi a tavola con la mia compagna e la prima fiorentina cucinata sul nostro bbq. Bottiglia del 2001. Annata ottima. — 9 years ago
Wine of the night beating 1999 banfi Brunelli magnum and couple others. Brought back from Greece in 2010 when visited winery. Full bodied lots of black fruit, soft tannins, very long finish. Delicious. Top 10 of the year. 97 points — 10 years ago
Livio Pastorino
— 7 years ago
