Clean, floral, fruity with hint of smoke. No obvious sherry component. Website allows lookup of cask recipe by entering code from bottle: mostly ex-Bourbon with small amts of Margaux, Ribera del Duero & Madeira. — 8 years ago
PPM 169. When opened, can smell the peat five feet away. When shoving glass right beneath nose, aroma is (surprisingly) apricots and fruit. In mouth is like massive barbecue woodsmoke attack. Long lingering notes of bourbon cask, dying pitfire embers. Most assertive Islay I have tasted. — 9 years ago

Met some great peat this eve... — 9 years ago
Sauturnes front giving way to heat, spice, and that musty peaty terroir. Pulls no punches, but velvet gloves every one. — 9 years ago

Yet another fine Octomore — 10 years ago
An amazingly peaty experience. Strong barley nose but the first sip just hits you like a sledgehammer due to the enormous amount of peat. The best octomore I've tried so far. — 10 years ago
Huge smoky flavor. Cask strength so very, very strong — 10 years ago
Rum aged in Bruichladdich casts. Unbelievably intense flavours ⭐️ — 8 years ago
Subltle, floral notes. Hints of red wine. Lightly peated. A fine dram — 8 years ago
Bruichladdich 10. 12 Year for Neil Swan.
Strong, needs water. With water:
Fiery, spicy and honey sweet, with medicinal flavours that sometimes catch on the nose and OK the aftertaste. Quite pleasantly grassy nose. Creamy. That hot and spiciness has some dark juicy flavours in it, like glace cherries or something — 9 years ago
What the smack did I just have? — 10 years ago
