Unscrew and pour yesterday. Noted from 24 hrs open. Fantastic PQR. Lovely meyer lemon and soft mango notes, some oak-influenced vanilla, but very stylish. On the palate: lovely acidity, soft slate, good density and a juicy finish. At the garagiste price of about 27 bucks, this is leaning in the case buy direction. Yum. β 4 years ago
White pepper and blueberry on the nose, along with a little funk. Blueberry and ripe cherry flavors, smooth, and long finish. No e! β 5 years ago
Savoury is the name of the game. Medium to full bodied, long finish, gravelly drying tannin, blackcurrent, mint, eucalypt. Great nose, 2 hr decant and felt it was finally opening up. Very left bank Bordeaux like, 85% cabernet sauvignon. 10% petit verdot. 2% merlot. 1% cabernet franc. β 7 years ago

Tonightβs nightcap π₯
During our stay at the hospital for the birth of our son some dear friends of ours brought my wife & I a care package. In it were all manner of goodies and treats, as well as a bottle of champagne and this scotch. They know us all too well π€«π€·π»ββοΈ

Caramel, creme brΓ»lΓ©e, charred orange peels, and Christmas spice cake on the nose. Mild notes of moss on the palate with a pronounced but welcome warmth on the way down. Smooth and perfectly suitable for ending the day with. β 7 years ago

2018 vintage. Very fine-grained tannins, good mix of fruit and earthier notes. Fresh blackberry, black cherry, cassis, black plum, decaying leaves, leather, cedar, a little fluffy, yeasty bit I could do without, stale sage, stale allspice. Much more Bordelais than Barossa. β 4 years ago
2012 tasting great. Solid dark fruits, nice balance. β 5 years ago
Brilliant silver-straw. Lime zest, honeysuckle, succulent herbs and chalky minerals on the incisive nose. Dry, tightly focused and lithe on the palate, offering intense citrus and orchard fruit flavors that reveal a hint of waxiness and a refreshingly bitter quinine note. Shows a delicate touch and finishes clean, nervy and quite long, with resonating mineral character and a hint of lemon thyme. (Josh Raynolds, Vinous, July 2021)

First dance with British bubbles, not Champagne but pretty damn close. Very good structure and acid. Over priced when you compare it to NV Champs. But The region is now on my radar and I am looking forward to things to come. β 9 years ago
Complex flavor, spicy yet smooth β 9 years ago

Dry and Smokie. Has subtle black licorice like flavor (plumb, blackberries, mocha and vanilla). Did I mention this wine is dry... In a good way. β 10 years ago
