Luxurious, decadent, full of youthful fruit but ready to drink now. Those 2009 Barolos are very underrated — 10 years ago
A modern take of Barolo definitely could taste the oak influence, but still a beautiful wine with great nose dark cherry, floral notes, spice, before coming to a palate of dark fruits and then a black finish I think is the fabled tar taste — 10 years ago
Good bottle from a bad vintage. Big. — 11 years ago
A great older vintage and this wine still has some fruit — 11 years ago
bright tannic and youthful. Much better after decanting. Oak, tobacco overlaying red fruit — 8 years ago

Serious wine but a fair amount of fruit. Dried cherries, eucalyptus, and earth. Firm tannic structure. I like it! — 10 years ago

2006 vintage. Good old fashioned Barolo. Light colour and hue. Medicinal notes. Floral and red cherry. Gorgeous crunchy tannins. Long finish. This is a step up from the '89. Plenty of years ahead of this wine. Very good indeed. NB: after 2 hours this wine is singing: roses and tar to the fore, integrated tannins, crisp acidity. Bouquet is out of this world. — 11 years ago

Lovely Barbera!
Great balance probably thanks to the warm vintage — 8 years ago
Glad I aged this bad boy. Delicious. Drinking beautifully now. — 8 years ago
Brickish ruby. After 3 hrs of air, nose of flower petals, tea, red berry fruit, and a little menthol. Round and rich with some mocha in the mouth. Young but delivers nicely right now. — 10 years ago
Decent not great.

Drank 5/17/13 with veal and spatzle, not as smooth as we would have guessed, still good. — 13 years ago
