A night of excess was brought to a funny conclusion with this. We tried to cool it rapidly in the freezer. Alas, our goldfish-like brains forgot the wine in the freezer 🙄
On the muted nose, there was pain grille and butterscotch. On the palette, we were greeted by soft ice crystals- kind of like a slushy. The wine had a high-pitched, tense mid palette, finishing with shortbread. A wonderful capstone on a great evening.

White Burgundy that melted our brains a little bit. Lemon curd, meringue in the nose. Bracing acid and structure, lovely coating mouthfeel with oak done right — a toasty, vanillin complement to the ripe stonefruit flavors. — 7 years ago
