Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru Pinot Noir 2018

Slightly deeper colour , brighter ruby centre . More crunchy summer fruits , red currant , cherry , blackberry , floral notes, more fresh and vivacious than the Tortochot . On the palate this is slightly better balanced with a rounder more red fruited character , red cherry , raspberry , mineral , just slightly smoky hint. Sweet rounded but still grippy tannin , balanced fresher acidity, mineral stony touches, saline finish . Better length . Young but showing quite well , even better in 3-5 years and will last well at least another 5-8. This was a little more nuanced , fresh and elegant in style than the Tortochot, certainly with more polish in regards the tannins . — 18 days ago

8.9

Sparse notes; very well presented. Young and tannic. Tart cherries transition to barrel toast and prominent tannins. Better in 2-3 years, but quaffable now with air exposure.

Côte de Nuits-Villages Pinot Noir 2020

Rene Bouvier, Cote de Nuits-Villages, 2020 vintage. I haven't come across many solid village Burgundy. This is one of them. Punching way above its weight. Nose of blueberries, blackberries, white flower, but also noticed some secondary characteristics of animal skin and mineral notes right away. Mouthwatering. On palate, medium plus weight, dry, fruits and minerals. Long finish, with aftertaste that you get from drinking mineral water. Popped and poured then decant the rest. Half hour of decant seemed to have done the trick. Can be enjoyed now, or keep in cellar for a year or two. — 2 years ago

Les Longeroies Vieilles Vignes Marsannay Pinot Noir 2021

The Clos du Roy has been around ever since the dukes of Burgundy, residing in nearby Dijon, documented, and drank in its virtues.
Ruby red color with aromas of ripe fruits with floral perfume and earthy tones, aged for 14 months in 30% new oak. On the palate flavors of berry and plum fruits, with pepper spice notes. Soft fine tannins, medium+ finish ending with fruit, floral and earthy spice character.
