This is one of the better pure CF based wines I had in recent years, coming from an Israeli Boutique winery, the wine is 95% CF and 5% CS. It has a deep garnet color, a truly amazing nose, herbal, with black cherries, dark chocolate, mint, eucalyptus and plums, full body, intense with chewy tannins, thick texture, rich with balancing acidity. A long never ending finish. Delicious! My score 91, drink to 2020. — 10 years ago

Located in small a village that's home to residents with disabilities, Tulip employs team members from Kfar Tikva who help with the entire wine process. The Syrah Reserve is bright, black fruit on the nose and palate, deep, long finish. Pairs well with lamb and meat plates. — 11 years ago

Oxblood in hue and with smoke and gamey earth aromas on the nose. Stewed fig and plum, chocolate and tobacco on the palette, and well integrated structure. On the hot/porty side. Sort of a slut, but she's natural and wears lacy boutique lingerie. — 12 years ago

Very pleasant boutique bottling from a superior vintage featuring a texture of black pepper, black tea, savory and dark cherry. Purchased for low $20s, this producer does small productions beside selling fruits to leading Mendocino producers. Low level of tannin would make this a an easy choice for by-the-glass and for many Pinot fans — 11 years ago
