Decanted for 1.5hrs, but really opened up after 2-2.5hrs. Initially muted but as more time elapsed notes of black cherry blackberry followed by mushrooms, dominant dark earthiness and leather. Appropriately balanced acidity along with medium tannin that lingered well. Really nice! — 4 years ago
This particular year seems even better, superior body, color a touch sweet upon decor king what can I say, along with the food at Le Bilboquet a bliss! — 7 years ago
Light, grape aroma, nice finish.

Great wine just outside Sancerre region so cheaper. — 2 years ago
Very fruit forward, with spiced dark fruit compote plus some leather accents, dark chocolate and pleasant whiff of menthol. Nice, round mouthfeel with plush tannins, pure fruit and juicy acidity with a lingering, uplifting finish. Nicely balanced and surprisingly enjoyable. — 4 years ago
Raspberry nose with a hint of barnyard funk. On the palate black tea, tart cherry, cocoa and oak give way to acid that builds through the finish with lingering tobacco notes. A nicely balanced wine with a bold flavor profile and light mouthfeel. — 6 years ago
60/40 cab/merlot. very aromatic. sweet ripe bell pepper, eucalyptus, dried red cherries, cedar, woodsy. medium weight, firm and juicy tannins. excellent value. — 6 years ago

Appearance: clear clarity, medium intensity, garnet. Nose: clean condition, medium intensity, aroma - cigar, black berry, fruitcake, stewed prune. Palate: dry, high acidity, medium (+) chalky tannin, flavour - dark cherry, chocolate, smoky, long finish. Conclusion, very good and approachable cab-sauv, great value for its price tag ($33), alcohol and flavour greatly integrated. — 11 years ago
So silky smooth and yummy. Highly reccommend. — 8 months ago

Perusbordöö, juuri sellainen kuin klassisen hyvän bordöön olettaa olevankin, hyvä pöytäpunkku — 5 years ago
Still firmly tannic but enough fruit remaining to creat some nice balance. In danger of drying out so drink up. Always a great value in top vintages. — 6 years ago

Great storage on this one. Perfect match for a Wagyu Filet Mignon K&L notes as follows Perfect drinking 29 year old Bordeaux for about $1 per year! I love their 2004, but this wine is even better. 1995 was great Merlot year in Bordeaux and the grape shines through here. Sweet and fresh on the palate. The nose has some bottle Bouquet and touch of blueberry aromas. It is still lush on the palate. An old Bill Blatch find in the 80s. And it will cellar some more years with out a problem. Buy it by the case and enjoy with a short rib or lamb dish.
