V13. Good, interesting. Cedar nose. Nice raspberry, black cherry and black currant fruit. Tight, black pepper, hints of clove , and leather finish. Decant. — 5 years ago
Really strong 27 year old CdP en magnum. Mushrooms and earth on the nose, still some fruit on the palate. — 7 years ago
Fruity, bold and spicy. Great with ham & turkey. Good finish. — 8 years ago

Really great. Well balanced. — 11 years ago
Light burgundy in color, aroma of leather and tobacco, flavor of red fruits, smooth, and velvety. Would be great with pork or game. — 4 years ago
At a perfect point in its life. Burgundian elegance with that distinctive Rhône savoriness and spice — 6 years ago
Nice smooth and easy to easy. Would pick it again! — 8 years ago
Somehow we forgot to rate it while we were drinking it (I think that's a good sign!), Laura liked it but it's one of my favorites, very good the second time around — 8 years ago
Darker deeper, liquorice, dried fruit. Dark forest fruits, smoky, meaty. Big, full, meaty, chewy. Raisin, black fruit. Quite hot. Decent, but OTT — 9 years ago

My current Trader Joe $6 favorite. Amazing for $6 and I don't care if I open it for just one glass — 10 years ago
Favorite French Chardonnay! — 11 years ago
Lurid magenta. Expansive aromas of mineral-tinged red berries, incense and cola, joined by a suave floral nuance as the wine opens up. Appealingly sweet and seamless on the palate, offering juicy raspberry, cherry, spicecake and candied licorice flavors that are braced by a spine of juicy acidity. Finishes smooth and long, with gentle tannins and lingering floral pastille and star anise notes. (Josh Raynolds, Vinous, December 2019)

One of the best Chateauneuf du Papes I have ever tasted. Bursting with flavor, rich and even creamy notes, plum and black cherries, currants, a little cinnamon. Wonderful. Maureen says, "Porty and yummy, earthy, good." — 8 years ago
Drank this entirely too young. Big restrained fruit with a nice tannin/acid balance, not hot or messy at all. Check in again in 5 years, would not be surprised to see this go a total of 15-20 years. — 8 years ago
09 vintage: drinking beautifully, surprisingly lively on the palate, and not showing any sign of heat/XS alcohol which I often associate with this vintage. Medium bodied, quite plush, lovely bright red fruit characters with a "stony" background note. Very nice drink. — 9 years ago
My all time favorite wine. The Brunier family are geniuses! Love my Chateauneauf du Papes! — 10 years ago
