Fruit-forward, good minerality, soft tannins. — 7 years ago
2011 vintage. Super delicious. Low tannins, low acid, full body, smooth. — 8 years ago
@Jonathan Pytko this the Pinot I mentioned at dinner last night. From solano cellars. Good suggestion. Better prices can be found — 9 years ago
Balanced. Nice tannins. Full and rich. A top valley wine. Berry, berry good. A great plummy and cherry infused element. Robust but tastes yummy. — 9 years ago
Considering this is only 20 bucks, this bottle is awesome. Nice subtle notes of mint, a true definition of the terroir where it comes from. — 10 years ago
Smooth and juicy. Hint of mint at the end. Solano county — 10 years ago

I rate brisighella massively as a sub region in Romagna. Some of the best Sangio's I've had are from here — 10 years ago

Pre-release party in alameda. All the 2016s.
My rankings:
1) brawler- 94 (2nd biggest wine)
2) black tie - 93 (1st biggest wine)
3) instigator - 93 (3rd biggest wine- more elegant than previous vintages. While it used to be all solano county syrah, it is now blended with a lodi vineyard)
4) truant - 92-93 - solid gsm
5) brat - gs that i need to try again. The oak was coming off a little strong on the small taste i had.
Hear the shake ridge syrah in barrel is midnight black in color and going to be a rockstar. Looking forward to seeing what he does with that vineyard. — 7 years ago
Nice and piney with our jamon iberico. Love it. — 8 years ago
Very tasty, and a great option when you don't know exactly what you want, but it's in the red direction... Might be exactly what you're looking for — 9 years ago
Weird,but good — 10 years ago
Very tasty now, but for me, needs more time. Would love to revisit in 5 years. I'm loving the gnarliness factor, and fruity red fruit notes. Super concentrated. Wow! Rich deep blood red berries with a solid core of pitch black gnarliness, and screaming finish. Will try to review tomorrow, on the 2nd day. — 10 years ago
Sorprenent!!! — 11 years ago
I'm lucky to have access to a number of great wine shops, with exceptional employees. A shout out THANKS to Kermit Lynch and Solano Cellars in Berkeley and Bi-Rite Market and Arlequin Wine shop in SF for turning me on to so many fabulous wines! — 11 years ago

This stuff is great. A little bit of everything. Some grassiness, some fruit, some minerality. Great acid. Delicious. $25 at Solano Cellars. — 6 years ago
