Dark ruby red color. The nose is powerful: raspberries, chocolate and also leather. The mouthfeel is complex and balanced! The berries are immediately apparent, followed by savoryness, and hints of vanilla. The finish is long, intense, and full of round tannings but smooth as silk. Rioja, paella and Alejandro Sanz; can’t get more Spanish than that. And it may be the inspiration talking but this bottle is tasting as close to Rioja perfection as I’ve ever had. — 6 years ago
I am an Ehlers fan girl especially since Laura Diaz Muñoz became winemaker. This may be one before her personally overseen wines came out but it sings of things she told me was into. Which is supreme balance and goodly acid. It is all grapefruit and stones and hints at grass. Think this vintage was before Laura got her hands on the winery but she was happy to rep it so CANNOT wait to taste the next vintage because Laura is boss — 7 years ago

A great white one from Rueda, Spain. Old sauvignon blanc vines not the typical variety from Rueda. Silky, fresh, tropical fruits, honey hints. Tonight we have paired it with barnacles, king prawn and sea snails. Probably one of the best variety wine from Spain. — 10 years ago

17/20 (92/100) Интересно, как сильно буквально за год поменялось это вино. Вместо зелёных овощных нот появились тона абрикосов, слив, печёной тыквы, орехов и хлеба. По-прежнему тельное и маслянистое с высокой кислотностью. Тона оливкового масла во вкусе. Интересное, полное бочковое шардоне. Выдержка явно пошла вину на пользу. (06.09.2018) — 8 years ago
