The winery is located near the town of Peñafiel, and its name Oreja (ear) comes from the fact that Convento is located on a bend in the Duero river. This exagerated bend/oxbow is referred to as an oreja or ear shaped. Deep red with purple edges and aromas of red fruits and spice. The palate shows plum and Berry flavors with vanilla spice, cacao and espresso beans. Well balanced soft tannins give way to nice medium+ finish. — 9 years ago
Cardela, Bodega Bohórquez, Peñafiel- Ribera del Duero. Mi puntuación va en función del precio de este vino. Está a la altura de vinos al doble del precio. Una gran adquisición — 10 years ago
Very smooth drinking Tempranillo. The age on it has softened the tannins to a nice chalkiness, and there's still nice black fruit. Lots of sediment - worth straining and/or decanting. — 10 years ago

Different Ribera Del Duero Tempranillo. Licorice finish. Full bodied and fruit forward. Great with Ribeye at Costa Brava in Bellaire, Texas. — 8 years ago
