Unoaked, plums, dark cherry. Average acid with low tenants. 14% alcohol for 16.00 — 6 years ago
Smoked eucalyptus and gamey.
Blackberry, dark plum, tha basil, eucalyptus. mint, anise, layer upon layers of gorgeous fruit, with herbs dancing with great pagan mystery, underneath those waves.
This is one of those wines that hits every bit of what you want a more expensive bottle to be.
Priced to buy by the case as a every nighter.

Luzon Verde has long been a staple of Surdyk’s Spanish wine section. The owners of this winery are passionate about organic and sustainable farming, for both health reasons as well as improving the taste of the grapes. Made from 100% organic Monastrell grapes (known as Mourvedre in France) grown in Jumilla in southeast Spain. The wine shows a pretty red purple color with a violet rim, while the nose shows subtle spice, dark berries and floral notes. Flavors of red and black fruits with tobacco and slight earthy notes make for a very interesting wine with soft and round tannins and well-balanced acidity. This is the perfect wine for large gatherings where many different foods are being served.

Nohhhh excelente #monastrell com um pouco de ameixa no gosto, mais cítrico no cheiro. Bem bom... Pouco alcoólico e um pouco de pimenta também no gosto.... Ótimo! — 7 years ago
From Jumilla in southeast Spain,a big rich red combo of cabernet sauvigon, monastrell and tempranillo. Great depth with lashings of ripe Blackberry fruit, spicy notes and just a hint of toasty oak. — 10 years ago

I loved it. Very tannic, a little fizzy, and delightful accompaniment to meatloaf take during this Pandemic. No noticeable oak, and wonderful on the nose. — 5 years ago
