Nicely made and exuding character. Nose has bright, deep plummy fruit, along with nice, fragrant spice and a wisp of smoke. Mouthfilling, pure fruit on the palate, with a light touch, finish turns savory and shows lots of stony minerality. Nice acids and a bit of soft, chalky tannin comes out at the end. Terrific value. — 2 years ago

Dry but pleasant. Had with Greek tapas in DC with Sarah and Mao. — 5 years ago
Color of dark purple, looks thick. Nose of dense dark fruits, like currant and blackberries, some chocolate, some vanilla, a touch of oak, and some more woody cedar. Nose is not bad. Taste of ripeness, with dark fruits plus matured tannins, oaky note, some ripe grapes, a bit tobacco leaves and minerals. Some tiny refined sweetness too. Aftertaste shows some vanilla, spice, clean and enjoyable. Nice one. — 2 years ago

With deep discount from Costco to like $6.00, it is a great bargain yet tasted well balanced. BIG PLUS for Costco. — 4 years ago
The 2014 ‘Condado de Haza’ by Alejandro Fernandez is a 100% Tempranillo wine, sourced from their estate vineyards. This shows toasty oak with lovely savory character on the nose with red fruits and bell pepper accents. The mouthfeel and texture here is excellent as the wine delivers beautiful earthy tones with red and dark fruit flavors and a touch of chocolate. With bright acidity, this will cellar well over the next decade. Drink 2019-2029- 91

Earthy bouquet with hints of black fruits and stone. Tastes a lot like a Lodi Zinfandel. — 2 years ago

This says Reserva.
I didn’t know.
But… that’s some Spanish old vine Tempranillo w French barrique aging(24 mo.) hell, you could have left it in there another 24.
N: Really smells like dirt and tobacco. Black plums way back there. A Big, black nose of reined in funk.
P: Tannin city, charcoal, prunes, really begs for protein, skillfully done.
Next time, 2hrs in a decanter.
