Dark ruby in color with a short purple rim.
Strong nose of black currants, cherries, sweet strawberries, light oak, chocolates, peppercorn, dark coffee, tobacco leaf, earth, herbs, spices and black pepper.
Full bodied and smooth with medium acidity and nice legs.
Dry on the palate with black currants, plums, chocolates, coffee, earth, vanilla, licorice, spices, oak, light vegetables and peppercorn.
Long finish with fine grained tannins and tangy pomegranates.
This is a nice surprise. This 7 year old Tempranillo from Spain is drinking very nicely now.
Nicely balanced and tangy, with a nice mouthfeel. Fruit forward and enjoyable by itself or with food.
This 100% Tempranillo is good right out of the bottle and better as it opens up (30 minutes), and shows some tannins. Becomes very tangy on the mid palate, after 2 hours in the decanter.
I paired it with a charcuterie board of cheeses and light appetizers.
14% alcohol by volume.

Excellent Tempranillo. Might one of the better ones I've tried. It was dry, spicy and rich. It is so good and better than a wine 3x it's price. I feel like I should but more to cellar it. — 9 years ago
Plum fruits on the nose, medium to full bodied, smooth, bit spicy, fruity. Probably one of my favourite wines. — 9 years ago
Massive wine but power was well balanced. Big brooding black fruit with leather and cigar box. Very tannic and super dry finish but give it 10 yrs and it would be 1 or 2 notches higher. — 9 years ago
Hearty red like I love. Full and grapey! — 10 years ago

Robust, dark, medium to heavy feel in mouth. — 9 years ago
Strong but balanced tannins. Solid companion to meat and roasted veggies. A great dumpster dive find! TMI. — 9 years ago
Great wine. Delicious on the front and back. New world style, a little stronger than an old world Spanish wine. Loved it at Casa Mono-NYC! — 10 years ago
