The hidden blend of grapes for this is kinda fun. Obviously lots of Malbec, rich, intensely flavored dark fruit is the main character, with a hint of baking spice and something savory, and dusty tannins. Not much nose and finish but that's fine. — 9 years ago

Great fruit condition, bright and fresh and vibrant and all the things you want in red juice. The ripe quality translates from nose to palate and right now that's what I want. A little confected, a little spice. This wine feels like it's quenching my thirst but it's doing the opposite. Young and fun and optimistic and liberal minded. This is the 2004 Ánima Negra Son Negre. It is a gorgeous wine with bramble and red fruit on the nose. Palate is absolutely balanced and set off with one of the best silky textures I've had in a long time. Spice, caramel and a bit of smoke too... Gorgeous and enchanting. — 11 years ago

The '11 Bodegas Barco de Piedra Tempranillo is proof that good wine doesn't have to be expensive. Bluish purple in color, this medium-bodied wine emits a bouquet of black fruits, cherries, licorice, pepper and leather. It's delightfully creamy, velvety and complex. Delicious medium to fully bodied rosat sparkler with earthy notes from Boutique Cava producer, this one is surely intense and more food wine than aperitif, hand turned and disgorged after 36 months on the lees, delectable info is misleading as this is 70% monastrell, 20% Pinot, and 10% garnaba. Don't compare Cava to champagne, it's Catalayun native varietals that bring their own skill sets to the table. — 8 years ago
