2016 Las Suertes is a gorgeous barrel fermented Verdejo with tons of charm and character and a fair amount of complexity. Prettier and more fine-etched than expected on the palate, it shows soft fruit of honeydew melon and white peach with a succulent key lime note on the finish tinged with subtle minerality. Aromatically it suggests ripe orchard fruit and citrus blossoms with a hint of fresh coriander. More air reveals a slight tropical nuance. Nearly weightless on the palate, this is a very fresh and cleansing white that will provide an excellent counterpoint to marinated shrimp and grilled fish dishes. — 6 years ago
Okay, so with the initial sip it seemed awfully weak, but once I let it warm a bit I was pleasantly surprised. It really opened up and opened up the fruit flavors. It is interesting, low acidity and deeper than I initially thought. I would suggest giving it a try and then let it sit in the glass in your hand and try it again. Trust me. — 7 years ago
Great white with tapas!!! Or without! — 7 years ago
The wine shows green-gold in the glass and looks clean. It smells crisp, with a big grapefruit play up front and other citrus notes joining apple and anise. On the palate, there's a brisk acidity to accompany the citrus and minerals that produce the clean mouthfeel. — 7 years ago
Wanted wine on a Wednesday. Very refreshing. Bar and garden wine club. Would repurchase for white to keep on hand. — 4 years ago

Bright mid Gold. Aromas indicate wood maturity and white flowers- some pineapple, oxidative notes and grilled nuts. Creamy palate with peach and skins bitterness. The oxidative nature of this wine makes it special but treads a fine line with this approach- no further cellaring required. The amazing thing about this Vineyard in Rueda (only 23 acres) is that many of the vines are still on their own rootstocks and predate phylloxera. Some vines are up to 180 years old. Drink now / low acid - quite delicious. One of the 1001 Wines. — 7 years ago
It’s nice pleasant wine with floral, bitter almond and citrus aromas. Dry, balanced acidity, alcohol and body. Quiet short length. — 8 years ago

This year’s white tasting winner. Light, grapefruit forward, quick finish. Very refreshing. Bet it would be good with raw bar. — 4 years ago
