Oh heck. Dang you garagiste. I've realized it is generally better to order 2 at a time but...this lovely Baden rosé(?!$) is crazy...kerosene plus roses and cherries and maybe mandarins and/or flippin' blackberries o my when I have a good blank slate for it I shall give another write-up. I've at least got one more! bottle — 9 years ago

Wow tasty Barolo, just as I recall it from Castel Grumello. This bottle direct from the winery from my visit directly after that tasting. Leather, blank cherries, pomegranate, candied orange rind....everything you want in your Barolo. Heat is manageable. — 12 years ago
The Chenin blank I looked for forever! — 8 years ago
The most interesting Rose I've tasted this year. Barely pink which makes sense based on the grapes. Bright, refreshing delightful. Initially reminded me of a Sauvignon blank — 10 years ago
A burly, intense wine, better on the second day, developing some notes of canned lychee or peach in syrup to go with the heavy Diesel/petrol notes dominating both nose and palate. Finish sort of drops right off, leaving a plastic/curiously blank note. Interesting but not perfect. — 10 years ago
Classic--this boy was as tight as a blank when I opened him...needed min 30 mins before stringing g along a bold zin — 10 years ago

Enjoyed a bottle with my brother and sister in law on a Capetown trip to Bo-Kaap. Great back story regarding the winemaker and the secret varietals used in this blend. Medium bodied red with aromas of dark cherry, cedar and smoke. Initial soft dry tannins opened up beautifully into softer, more mellow tannins after about 20 mins in the glass. Good luck guessing the varietals! — 8 years ago
A random purchase from a semi-defunct wine shop (I believe he's been trying to close for 2 years now... But no buyer's), never heard of this bottle before.
13.5% Alcohol and it may impair your ability to operate machinery, according to the back label, other than that, it's a blank book for me, so notes forthcoming...
If anyone has had this, post up a comment. Thanks.
On the nose we have black cherry, green pepper and black pepper.
On the palate, currently lacking concentration but continuing to improve, black currant, black pepper, tobacco and voilet.
Amazingly this wine paired quite nicely with the grilled asparagus accompanying our flap steak with a fresh chimichurri made from foraged ramps (wild leeks), a local delicacy for only a few weeks in the Berkshires. — 8 years ago
