Black fruit and dirt on nose with delicious earthy black fruit up front. Ned to full. Good length. Drank over 2 nights and consistent both nights $25 decent QPR 88 — 11 years ago
Funk! Dark fruit, black olives and dirt. Incredibly pronounced and interesting with strong flavour. Boozy as hell too. $22 — 11 years ago
Straight up forest floor! It's like having a mouthful of dirt and red/black berries. Light acidity, very sassy for a pinot. — 10 years ago
Picked up in Nantes, France. Taste a lot like the 12yr to me which costs about the same but at least you get a full 750mls — 11 years ago
Rediscovered in the pantry.... Left behind by my father, who always enjoys a good bourbon. — 11 years ago
Does the word BOMB-SHIZZLE ring a bell? Rich black fruit with that special something... Schist! Look it up... Perfect mineral composition. And dirt cheap. This stuff is the schist. Yeah ok I said it. — 11 years ago
2008. Dried cherry, black tea, dried mushroom and rose, prosciutto. Minerality is reminiscent of standing on a dry, dusty dirt road. Only criticism is that it falls off in the mid palate, but finishes with a nice gamey note. — 11 years ago

An offer from my room mate. This wine is a few days old and starting to show some signs of oxidation, but definitely still has some life left. Black pepper and dirt on the nose. You definitely get the black pepper on the palate as well, but with some nice red fruit that isn't overly ripe. A wine that's got enough body and tannic structure to pair well with meat and cheese, but is also perfectly fine on its own. He says it was $10, which means this is a killer bargain wine. — 10 years ago
