Compared to a Spottswoode 06, this one seemed to have similarities but and it was over all this one has more tobacco and slightly less of the dark mature raspberry and black cherry. However, this one even after an hour was still a little disjointed and out of balance. I don't know if this is just on the decline or maybe a little bottle variation. Agree with Mark in terms of comparing against the Spottswoode. Main note here was pipe tobacco. Ripe red, black and blue fruits aromatics. Fig, currant, sweet plum and blackberry preserves. This is definitely drink now before the fruit dies out. All in all, still a nice wine

Super easy to drink! Will be finishing this bottle tonight. Or at least I wouldn't be surprised if I did. It's not over powering or spicy. Just very very light, a tad sweet, and a tiny sweet finish. — 11 years ago
