Deep garnet colour. Dusky spicy fruit aromas. Savoury and spicy on the tongue definite strong tannins. Enjoyable but looking forward to cellaring this for a while. — 9 years ago
Delicious!!! Rich and smokey at first and settles to softer fruits. Great for any occasion. My grandparents have great taste! — 10 years ago
A tidy little wine. This will really open up with some age, just like Julie Bishop. Stayer. — 10 years ago

How do you start a climbing trip in Bishop? With Beaujolais Nouveau from Selection Massale! — 11 years ago
Comprised of grapes sourced from seven vineyards throughout the Willamette Valley, 35% of which is from the winery's own Bishop Creek Vineyard in the Yamhill-Carlton AVA—the 2015 Nicolas Jay Pinot Noir strikes a balance between power and elegance. More red fruited than black, the nose is perfumed with rose hips, underbrush, damp soil, and crushed stone. Texturally, I love what the acid does in this wine, as it builds and crescendos, fanning out towards a finish of nuanced white pepper and mineral splendor. 13.0% ABV | Sample — 8 years ago
I'm going high on this one. Up front is a lot of big fruit with all kinds of cherry, red, black, and dried. But it's complex, with apple, strawberry and much else mixed in. Acidity is high, but just right to balance the fruit. There is moderate stony minerality and herbal notes here and there. Tannins are very restrained and this is a light and approachable wine. It gets more complex as it airs. I think it would be very good with charcuterie and sausages. I had it with a shrimp and sausage etouffe. It has enough fruit to stand up to strong flavors and enough acidity to cut through rich food. This comes from a very northern planting of Pinot, and it's an unusual and interesting wine. Shout out to the folks at Wine Poste in the Bishop Arts District for stocking this and putting it in a tasting. — 9 years ago
