Sour red cherries, wild strawberry, horse shit, mushrooms. Wild acidity. Years ahead of it. Fresh. Vital. — 8 years ago
More fruit driven and powerful than the Bindi Original. Ripe fleshy cherry notes. Silky mouthfeel. Through the waves of fruit there is also a reasonable level of tannin and acid which will carry it into the future. A class act. — 9 years ago

Mid crimson in colour with pale tinges. A brilliant perfumed nose with Cherries Stalks and a vegetal note. Palate staining intensity with a finish that goes On and On. An amalgam of flavours. I have often written on Delectable that this is Australia’s Best Pinot Noir producer and a wine like this just reinforces that view. Every now and again you will have a marvellous Bindi, By Farr, Yabby Lake or the many great Pinot’s coming from Tasmania but for consistency it has to be Bass Phillip. In summary whether you like the Old World or New World this is gorgeous Pinot Noir. — 6 years ago
Holy moley, what a gratifying wine. Uniquely farmy, bloody, tarpauliny, fruity nose- full blown Hermann Nitsch tableau- but follows that with a beautifully deft drink. — 7 years ago
One of Australia's best Pinot Noirs. Beautiful weight - perfumed, plush and elegant. — 8 years ago
Mid Lemon. A nose of citrus but a palate of stone fruit. White peach and cream. Palate staining intensity with great length. Oak is totally integrated into the fruit at 9 years. Used to be regarded as Australia's premier Chardonnay and probably still is depending on your style preference. Other Margaret River icons plus Giaconda , Oakridge and Bindi amongst others in the East also vying for the mantle. World class. Halliday once compared the 1987 to a premier Cru Puligny. — 8 years ago
Meatballs with tomato sauce. Paired well with our cheese, pistachios, and cherries. Enjoyed while watching warriors game last night and they won! — 10 years ago
