12 year old white from Portugal. Who knew? — 10 years ago
Sharp crisp apples with a dry finish. Very tasty. But not as excellent as the rose from the San winery. — 5 years ago
From the Bairrada region of Portugal, this rosé sparkler is dry and crisp. Made with red baga and white bical grapes indigenous to the region. No dosage at all (so I have read) makes for a fresh and light wine from beginning to end. Notes of raspberry and straw. 3B would be a festive addition to any sophisticated soirée. — 6 years ago
Great expression of encruzado, easily could be mistaken for a good chablis. — 6 years ago
The 2011 is ok. This is a light wine with a little bite. A wine that would go fine with fried chicken. — 7 years ago
Pipe tobacco and plums waft from the glass. Once allowed to open up, barnyard aromas emmerge. The palate is surprisingly lean and vibrant. Lots of fresh acidity and mineral touches. Graphite makes another appearance. Acid and tannin give the wine significant structure. This could use a rest, lay down for 8 years? — 7 years ago
Oaky on day 1, beautiful citrus & peach on day 3. White Dão can be serious juice. — 9 years ago
An old-vine mandatory drink while in Portugal! Bical grape planted on clay & limestone and Cercial and Sercialinho planted on sandy soils. One day this will be the Lord of Sabaoth for those thousands of kiwi sauv blancs and bland pinot grigios. I honestly worship the wines of Luís and Filipa Pato and I am only to sorry for not drinking this wines more often. Had this with an humongous plate of bacalau that I couldn't possibly finish, I needed to leave some room for the wine. #luispato #beira #vinhasvelhas #portugal @WineTraining @Dusan Bradanovich — 9 years ago
Wonderful full body from central Portugal. Nice lingering finish — 10 years ago
Fresh, crispy, with great aciddity bubbles! White fruit with a little bakery on it. Great floral going on also. — 11 years ago
Ripe apricot, honey, saline. Elevated acidity and gripping tannins. A decent orange wine. Made from a blend of Encruzado, Bical, Siria, Malvasia, and Sercial. — 5 years ago
Who knows what you’re going to get with an old white of a mostly unknown blend, but this was delicious! Took on hints of caramel and honey. Had to get a second glass. — 6 years ago

Vanilla toffee light smoke well balanced light oak — 8 years ago
Sparkling rosé for duck & meaty things--savory & structured, as a blend of baga & bical from Bairrada might suggest. Drinking even better w/ day of air. — 9 years ago
A great sparkling white wine. Not too dry, not too sweet. A great desert wine that goes great with chocolate or with fresh fruit. — 9 years ago
Nice, easy drinking, non-threatening. — 10 years ago
Need food. Heavy body, butter and vanilla. Long aftertaste. Quite complex. — 10 years ago
