Very nice but for some reason not quite singing at the same level of the last bottle we had of this earlier this year. I do suggest a 2+ hour decant. Lots of cherry and a bit of dark cherry. Quite balanced with great freshness. Long finish. Tannins are a bit chunky at this point, but still a great wine with a fatty steak. — 5 years ago

Musty on the nose to begin. Fruit still forward given the age. Surprising flint and gunpowder notes. Showing it’s age with raisin characteristics. Some Australian honey!

Incredibly floral nose. Tar, rose, lilac. Delicate mouthfeel with pronounced tannins and strong outline of acid. Raspberry jam. Fresh, well structured, excellent finish. — 7 years ago
Cantaloupe, honeydew, lime zest on the palate. Subtle grassy hints, lemon lime, salt air on the nose. Enjoyable if simple. — 8 years ago

Not bad mr. Bera! — 10 years ago
Wow. Deep, massively extracted Barbera. Wasn't expecting this. Aromatic, with bright acid though, and funk. Could be mind blowing in 5 years. 2011. And 15% abv. — 10 years ago
Super fruity and light. Paired well with a light chocolate cake. — 11 years ago
Solid young, savory Nebbiolo. Better 2nd day - more integrated. — 4 years ago
Tasted at Enoteca Regionale del Barolo. Young and nice — 6 years ago
Very engaging, full bodied. Robust but not overpowering in any area. Great flavors. Much less exciting the second day I tasted. — 7 years ago
Spicy on the nose, smooth on the finish. Great tannins. — 7 years ago
What a beautiful wine. Surprisingly approachable and soft for a young Nebbiolo, while still showing the structure and harmony these wines are famous for. For the money, a 10! — 8 years ago

Funky and vaguely fizzy. Cider and permanent marker on the nose. Right up my alley. — 10 years ago
Perfect pizza wine. High acid, soft tannin. Dark fruit, a touch of tire rubber. An excellent barbera. — 11 years ago
Don't like sweet wines but this is an exercise in restraint. Clean, uncloying sweetness, acidity, and flowery, bright aromas all balanced on a razors edge — 6 years ago
A beautifully balanced example of Moscato d'Asti. Off-dry and definitely less sweet than many, this wine emphasizes the appeallingly herbaceous side of Moscato. Orange blossom, clover, honey, acacia and a hint of hay give this real appeal. Terrific as an aperitif with salumi or in Piemonte tradition, with hazelnut cake for dessert — 7 years ago
Nicely balanced, nuanced, and unique. — 7 years ago
Serralunga grapes (as does the 2012 vintage), deeper fruit on nose, more spice/smoke/dried meats, really nice. Well balanced. — 8 years ago
