Not sure what to say about this one. I’m a huge fan of Beni di Batasiolo and picked this bottle and a bunch of different options when visiting the winery last September. The other bottles they had were young but opened up after a couple hours. This 2010 Brunate was dense with leathery tannins from opening and remained for a couple days. The dark cherry aroma could be detected across the room and could be tasted along with some fig and earth within a few hours, but the tannins were a bit overwhelming for the 3 days. Very light with firm acid structured the wine is an excellent accompaniment for summer salads and light lunches. Sadly my last bottle and this marks the end of my Morrocan experiences — 8 years ago
