The nose is scented with tart apple, fresh baked bread and spicy citrus. Fine bubbles tingle the tongue with mineral-laced spice notes. This excellent Sangiovese is unfiltered and has a maroon rather than ruby tint. It is slightly fuller of body than your typical Sangio and extremely polished, and worked well as a pairing with vegetable pasta dishes, with chicken sausage on the side.
