This excellent Sangiovese is unfiltered and has a maroon rather than ruby tint. It is slightly fuller of body than your typical Sangio and extremely polished, and worked well as a pairing with vegetable pasta dishes, with chicken sausage on the side. The nose is scented with tart apple, fresh baked bread and spicy citrus. Fine bubbles tingle the tongue with mineral-laced spice notes.
