I remember tasting this wine around 20 years ago & I remember exactly what it tasted like. One of the best wines from Napa for the 98 vintage. Rice a Roni should give David Ramey the Jericho Canyon fruit back to make Cabernet. These Rudd & the Ramey Jerichos are top notch. I just read Pepsi now owns Rice a Roni. — 5 years ago

A wine that could not be in a better spot right now. Decanted at opening. Plush, soft aromas of black berries and plus just a touch of spice. On the palate this wine is juicy and soft, with velvety tannins and gorgeous acidity. Flavors of black plums and raspberries fill the glass around with wonderful spice box notes and just a kiss of oak. The finish seems to last forever with lingering spice and fruit notes. We had the 2013 Vintage on 5/2-3/21. This was a terrific full bodied, well balanced wine. Tastes of blackberry, plum, kirsch and vanilla on the palate. The tannins were smoothed out. A great example of the Napa floor. — 5 years ago
